Brenton Edwards: The Magmod system isn't all it's cracked up to be. The gels are especially garbage and aren't solid coloured plastic as you would expect. They are clear plastic with standard gel type coloured material glued to each side, which scratches off easy, and is known to be already peeling off straight out of the box. Pretty cheap and nasty for what they're asking.
Alexis Avalos: work or not with the Vivitar 285?
totan totane: it's a cool product but the magnet slips out the silicon frame? a design flaw for a price that must be revised/improved - Thanks for the unbiased info
Roger Pike: I have ordered these based on your review, looks like a brilliant product. Can't wait for delivery.
Andrew Smith: I really hope they fix the insecure magnets issues with the final production version or this will be a real let down. I don't mind paying the little extra for a quality product but then I expect it to work flawlessly, and this is a serious oversight that should just never of happened.
Samtagri: I use laser printed transparent sheets with different colors. I cut them to size with an extra lip which I bend and insert under the diffusion plate on the speed light. Laser printer transparencies can withstand high heat and won't melt. I used them on many shoots already. They are cheap, convenient, and look professional.
