cantab3: Hi, Tampatec: The LG 32LC2DB is connected to the Humax Freeview box
HDR-FOX T2 & has been working beautifully for months. Recently, 30 min into
the programme, the picture went off and 'No Signal' was displayed on the
screen. The Humax was still receiving the programme from the antenna, as
seen in the digital readout on the Humax.
Five minutes later, the LG tv made loud noises through the speakers, like
popping and electrical noises. I pulled the power cord out.
The next evening, a similar event occurred.
I notice there are many screws to un-do to check what is happening inside
the back of the TV. Any tips as to what may be malfunctioning and where
the 'bulging capacitor' might be? Many thanks.
evelyn bibbie: I have an Lg 40in model number 42LD520 . Only half of the tv picture
appears. Which is on the left side. On the right side it blinks first
purple then grey, then a strip of white with black lines down it. That part
doesn't blink. Could you please offer me some help to what could be the
problem and how to fix this. Thank you for any help you can offer.
adz260689: Hi Tampatec!
Well, Sadly I have one LG unit thats doing the same thing, its a UK model (
I guess that doesn't make much difference) It does exactly that....nothing.
If you wake up the next day and the tv's been off for 8-12 hours then you
will get a response initially then it will just disappear in "brain dead"
mode. the thing is, my capacitors are not bulging, even slightly so this
has thrown me off.
Can you help? any suggestions?
Nguyen Bo: Thank you so good, it is a time I try to do my own
Chris Richardson: Hi, novice here. DC or AC capacitors for this fix? Thanks.
Ross radman: Thanks man, fixed mine a treat, the same 4 cap's - cheers
James Colledge: Hi.
I have LG 37" LCD. ( Do not have the model number to hand at the minute. )
At times the telly is working fine and then other times it just doesn't
seem to pick up channels. All other lights are on on the screen.
Does this sound like a problem on the main board ?
Thanks in advance
