Iram Bhatti: hi, I have 05 x3 and kinda in the same problem and after watching yooure
video I can shut the back vent but my sunroof still wont open and its
trying to open but one side is more tilted than the other side and its
making it stuck from one side, more like its lifted up more on one side
than the other .. pls kindly help me . my email is email@example.com..
i can post some pics
boogiefever1985: I think the key to these things is they should NEVER be able to open up to
the air outside
Suzy Schroyer: Thanks for the second time! You have officially saved me $310. It costs
$155US to have the sunroof closed by the dealer. A friend and my son both
opened it after already paying the dealership once to shut it since I am
not paying $2997 to have it replaced. I have now placed black electrical
tape over the button. Cheers
Dheyson Lopez: This guy save me $2500 parts and labor on my BMW X3 same problem he had it
Geo Von Lengerke: So sad that a fine german machine will come with issues like that, pretty
much you will have a sunroof as a decoration
caldyn phillip: Awesome stuff. It worked on my x3. The dealer wanted between $2900 to 4000
to fix mines.
Ya Pix: Thank you very much Sir!
For decades I'm a 5-series guy.
I was going to switch to an X3 or X5 because I liked the panoramic moonroof.
Having watched your video in my research for my next wheels, I now realized
the double-panel feature is trouble prone.
Yes, I'm handy and mechanically inclined; but I've also become lazy in my
pre-retirement years and just don't wanna deal with it to begin with.
I think I should stick with single-panel deals.
kate gabriel: Thank You. Great instructions.
Cristian Musat: Very nice! Thanks, you are a very good person! for 3 months i have the roof
gusmachi: My local repair guys in Essen, Germany http://www.js-automobiltechnik.de/
fixed it for me with the help of your video. Cost me 60€, best Video ever
Jim Sowers: Great video for quick fix. But what is the underlying problem, i.e., what
is broken in the first place that caused the problem. Maybe I'll find the
answer in the next video :-)
Victor Jara: Wow thank you this video was very clear awesome views and it helped me
close that dang sunroof what a pain thank you again
10inja: Thanks so much, I was able to close the back.
Phillip Smith: TRY THIS FIRST!!!!!
Did you try adjusting the back window first? I had the same issue with
mine. I took out the back window first. The front window was then able to
lay flat. Then I was able to put the back window back in. If you notice
when you put the back window in the screws have quite a bit of play as to
where you can place them. And tighten them up. (YOU GOT TO FIND THE SWEET
SPOT!) Problem fixed!! Hope this helps some people.
Martha R: you were sent from heaven , its raining in my town and I need to close the
rear glass .. what a great video, thanks for posting..
Minhaj Mohammad: Thank you sir it worked for my 2004 x3 3.0i. I followed your both part 1 &
2 videos and fixed the problem completely of the rear glass. Now I can
enjoy the features except rear glass exhaust.
Arnell Durham JR.: This helped me Bigggg Time I only had too see the video 1 X explained to my
mechanic 5 minutes later fixed ya dig 8-25-2014. will make donation
Narad Maloo: thanks ...this helped a lot after my dealer told me it will cost over
$1000... i did it in 20 mins ... good stuff!!!
Tommy Elmesewdy: Thanks for posting these videos (Part 1/2). Worked like a charm.
Mreque89: You could probably grease up the rails and change the motor+gears pretty
cheap since its a bosch motor. or just change the gears that are faulty on
the back window.
PorkysThree: Thanks so much for making this it's people like you who make the internet
what a great thing it is!! Cheers from London!!!
Gar Bo Wong: I thought I broke my sister in laws BMW sunroof and had to shell out 3-4k,
until she told me about your video. This took 5 minutes including getting
the wrench from the tool box. FANTASTIC!!!!!! Thank You!
Gerald Henderson: Any fix if my sunroof is stuck all the way open? The tool won't turn
counter clockwise like in the video and I really would rather not go to the
dealer. Please help!!!
Paul Honnor: Hi Thanks for the video it helped me a lot, the easy way to do the job is
at the 3 minuet mark of the video if you press the button to make the roof
go down then turn the key of the car off at that time it stays down if you
do this just as it hits the back glass then continue at the 5 min mark
Edward Caicedo: wow! what a great video! is there a place where we can donate to your beer
fund for saving us so much money?
