Quadrunner: I know people complain about Nissan waiting so long to update the titan, but it is pretty cool having the old vs new tech comparisons. Aside from unloaded mpg it seems very competitive and it is still built to be used as a full time truck right from the factory. Those that choose to keep their old Nissan's are going to have a more established parts base for modification and maintenance as a result of that longer production time as well. I think before you stop reviewing it you guys should do a quick run through all of the features Nissan added to the Titan first that are common on other trucks today. I know they were ahead of the game in some ways when they came out.
torment38237: I own an '05 Titan 2wd KC , NO mods. Not even dual exhaust. 160,000 miles as of yesterday. Still runs and sounds great. Just for fun, I have spanked older and newer Eclipse GTs, and 3000GTs. Outrun some late 80's to mid 90 model Camero's (with various engine packages, some upgraded, some not), and some newer V6 Camero's in a short run in distance runs. Also, in short runs, some base model Chargers (both V6 and base hemi, not R/T) and Challengers (V6 model only). Have been able to hang with some 4.6 mustangs up to 65, 75 mph (some have left me sitting still, which was awesome, lol). This just to name a few, and I gotta say, some of you may smirk at the Titan or call it junk but for an est. 4600 lb, bone stock, truck to even mess with these vehicles or even give some of them a clean run for their money, with the tailgat on and spare tire, is impressive for what is now a 10 year old truck. Many older trucks, (in my area and in my experience so far, and there have been a few) have to moderately mod there trucks to keep up. As for newer trucks, pre '12 stock to lightly moded Ford and Chevy, (haven't faced any Dodge or Toyota trucks yet), still love the dumbfounded look on their faces when I quickly pull in front of them and am looking at them in my side view mirrors as they shut down at 98 mph and my truck is still climbing to between 120 and 130 mph. Some of the bigger class motor options from Chevy and Ford have been somewhat quicker and fun competitors, as they should be. Gonna be some haters on here, I'm sure, just been my experience with this truck thus far. It can and has been beatin' but it is what it is and it's a really fun truck to drive for the money. On a side note, which is worth mention and giving props too, I have been spanked by a VW Golf GTI and it was awesome! That little car is crazy fast! Lol
Daniel Duong:1:51 not even in 1:52 you had a feeling the Titan is already to unleash it's monster sound...
MrAndreussi: i still prefer ram 1500.
Kolby Walters: Proud to be a titan owner nuff said
GTXC4: I can't take these guys too serious anymore these days. Lot of mismatch comparisons in other videos. But anyway...
I've driven many trucks over the years, different motors, drivetrains, etc. I just recently bought a Titan Pro4X and nothing compares. The Ford F-Series are the closest thing to a smooth ride compared to the Titan, and as far as the engineering behind the Titan, well yea, they knew what they were doing 10+ years ago.
Kenth Llemit: IM A F-150 FAN BUT THOSE TRUCKS I LIKE IS NISSAN TITAN FOR AN EPIC REASON. BECAUSE THOSE TRASHY GM RECALLS GOING IN AND STILL ON RECALLS.
Anthony But: It's thirsty, but it's not because of the axle ratio. It only acts like a 4.10 in 1st gear because the transmission compensates for the rear axle using a low first gear.
The GM 5.3 SHOULD have beat it with it's 6 speed trans, and similar power on PAPER.
This just shows that despite being an older design, Nissan did a tremendous job with this power train 10 years ago, and it clearly is still very competitive as far as performance goes.
Petey Wheatstraw: Still the most under rated truck on the market.....I LOVE MY TITAN PRO 4X !!!!!
T Ritchie: I missed the price of the Titan. Did they show it?
Mr. Desert: stupid video titan's are #1
Mo River: Great test if you were racing trucks I guess? As for real world testing come on lets be real.
D. Hernandez: Show me a nissan titan with a manual transmission and I'll show you a future nissan titan owner.
Mitch Parker: All nice trucks but I think i'm going to stick with my 1965 gmc step side
mario villa: Haha he was wrong it is faster then the Sierra hahaha I love nissan titans
Mohamud Ahmed: If Nissan don't come up with new designs they're certainly gonna lose a big share in the SUV market. At least the Nissan Patrol is a better design
Mohamud Ahmed: And they f****d the Pathfinder with the most ugly looking SUV
Mohamud Ahmed: With all due respect I am a big Nissan fan but now I am tired of the same old bored design of Armada, they should go for a complete Face-lift (Re-design) please...
Jesse Sampson: I had a Titan and an Armada. Also had a 2003 Silverado 5.3 and a 2008 Sierra CC 5.3. The 2008 was much faster and could TOW. The Titan had, BY FAR, the best sounding stock exhaust. The exhaust note on that thing was a beast. The Armada is an SUV, so it's muffler was turned down a bit. The Titan was the fastest truck out of all of mine, but the gas mileage.. Never again will I get a Titan until they fix the gas mileage. I mean c'mon. All that power is great, but you use the gas mileage 95% of the time; 5% of the time you use the power. I put on 35" tires and it still hauled some serious ass. Those 5.6l motors are stout as hell and will run. The new 390hp Hemi is sick also. It's got some pep to it instantly. I want a 2014 Sierra CC SLT with the 6.2. I can still achieve 20mpg on highway. The extra power and -2mpg is a great trade off for me. Now slap a supercharger on that 6.2 and let it scream like the LS3 it is. Throw on a turbo and let the 650hp scream while still being reliable with only 7 pounds of boost. Will still run 200k miles with that nice big tranny
Joshua Johnson: I would never run a truck like that I'd find a slower highway.
