Did this video help you?

Michael Morana: +Phillip Mapes im assuming you had done the v6 update and using the motochopper method messed you up. Have you tried hard reset?

Michael Morana: +kyle burbano uninstall then reinstall aParted. Or, to play it safe, use my video on partitioning from your computer instead of using aParted.

Michael Morana: +Keaton McDermott nope. You have extra space to put music on. However, you've gotta put it there manually or tell whichever app your downloading music from to put it there.

Michael Morana: @blaziankhmer You can still root using saferoot and some people have managed to make this method work WITH the update (by chance/luck)

Claire Nunez: Hi Michael! great video! I am very frustrated and disappointed with my LG Optimus F3's memory so I want to root. But I have a couple newbie questions. When I want to root my phone I have to factory reset and I have to partition the SD card so when factory resetting I don't have a place to back up my information, or do I? You can partition when there is information on the SD card and internal storage? If so, how can I back up all my info? Thanks!

Michael Morana: @Ben Shields - The download from LG's website is the device driver ('software') that allows Windows to communicate properly with the phone. Windows has an automatic/generic driver that will work for transferring files and basic features but when it comes to communicating via cmd prompt, it wont do the job. You need LG's driver.

Linda Key: I repartitioned my SD card. However I can't upload a single app. Not enough space. I can see the space on Link2SD. However when I check to see where the apps are going it says EXT2. I change it to EXT4 and reboot it but when it boots up it goes back to EXT2. Have you heard of this? Is there a solution? It is odd that it was working perfectly 2 days ago. I hope you have an answer. I hate this phone.

Erik Tempest: What happened to the audio? The last time I watched this I could hear you speaking. Now it's obnoxious intro music and then dead air.

gumdrops27: Whats the song?

edwin rodriguez: Does this still work....

taylor isbill: its saying my partitions are already neing used! :( I really need to figure out how to put apps on sd card, someone help me out!

TYLONDA JOHNSON: They have a link to sd plus (new) should I have that also?

Bluur|PC: Michael Can u Upload that new video please its been 4 months and i still havnt fixed this

Cecil Fuentes: HEY. WHEN I OPEN UP APARTED, IT SAYS NO SD CARD READ! OR NOTICED. HOW DO I GET IT NOTICED?

I am Beobeto: all the steps were going smoothly until i opened aparted. the initial screen did not pop up and it said that "no sd card device detected" can you help?

Joseph Crow Riley: I just got my phone a day ago. I was shocked and annoyed that there is no way to move apps to the SD card. I followed your instructions to the letter, but it does not root correctly. I notice that when motochopper is doing its thing, under where it says "success" there is also a failure listed. It does not matter how many times I uninstall it from my phone and reinstall it, it does not root correctly and the other programs do not recognize it as being rooted.

Travis Donaldso: Hi Michael, I tapped create and in part 1 it has the word format with a checked box beside It, plus the blue dot will not slide, please help

Esmeraldaa69: i need help ! am stuck on the AParted part, it gives me a message that says no sdcard device detected, but it is in there and my phone picks it up but the app wont and also the Superusers app tells me that the superusers binary (su) must be updated and when i try to update it, it tells me their was an error and to send an error log to the developer . can u help me please?

Jocelyn Olson: Hello, Michael: Last month I used your videos to root and partition my Virgin Mobile LG Optimus F3. The processes were so simple to complete, thanks to your detailed instrux and I was able to finish them both with success. I'm writing because, after I finished both processes, about a day or two later, I noticed that you had marked one of the videos (the Link2SD video, I believe) with a "Do Not Use" notice. The notice also stated that you had found a better method which would make the partitioning and Link2SD requirement obsolete. I'm just wondering if you've had the opportunity to make and load the video yet. If so, would you please point me to it so I can complete that process as well? Thank you for your phenomenal, easy-to-follow video tutorials. They've really been an immense help... without them, I probably would have beaten my phone into a tiny, electronic puddle of anger & frustration. 😊 ☺

Jake Wolfe: Can u do this video for the boost mobile lg optimus f7

Edward Gonse: What kind of case do you have on your phone? Where did you buy it?

andi dinsen: when I try to root it says kernel is patched, this device is not supported, is there a way around this?

kasief andem: Please please i need help i partition my system memory by mistake please tell me how i can fix it please

Jeff Smith: saferoot worked for me. I had to use partition wizard on the PC to create the necessary partitions to move my apps though.

matt smith: Your guide was quite helpful. I have noticed that moving files with link2sd does not move the whole app. Pretty much if I had a 700 mb app only 500mb would be moved. So have you had any luck with this since the apps add up quick?

armyboy3848: Dude but I don't get Run.but

Tanner Thacker: Aparted will not detect my sd card?? Why? Help please

StormerEcho: While trying to do this, my phone stopped reading any sd card I put in it. I tried other sd cards, like a smaller one that I was using before I tried this out with my bigger card. I did the other method for partitioning the card, but I can't do anything now with the fact that I can't mount any cards. Also when I open up super user it says I can't update the binaries due to some error. Can you help?

Jeff Neal: Buddy great info buy you may want to spend some time learning how to edit videos. Other than that thanks for the info.

GL4DIA70R: I believe my phone just bricked, I hit the reboot option on Link2SD and then my phone just went black and hasn't rebooted. I would like some help.

chillin jerry: meant to say, **USB Driver** not hard drive.

Ssejex: The problem is memory that was being read on the partition said 0, not 15000. So I might be doing something wrong, I hope you can explain everything, Cause I literally went step by step with your video and the app is messing up for some reason.

stephen vaughn: when i downloaded the apart app i didnt get the aloow thing like you what do i do (ps i have the same phone as you but with t-mobile)

Sunny Smith: Is there a way to move apps without rooting the phone? I'm seriously trying to avoid rooting.

darryl reynolds: this video makes reference to a cyanogem like rom in the beginning, what rom is that, and have you managed to load it to your card, or are you running it from the SD card? I have been unable to find any specific write-ups on roms that work well on this phone.

Rackista123: Hey why does aparted keeps saying no sd card detected

ThatWannaBeHalfBlood: Hey, love your videos and I've watched them since you made this video. But i was wondering when are you going to upload the new video? I had some SD card problems recently so I had to format it and now I'm just waiting on the Cyanogen video to fix the memory problem

Monesha Williams: Can you do this in a have system.?

Steve Lister: So...I had already rooted with SafeRoot. Followed the video for link2sd, and now that I've rebooted, none of the apps I moved are visible. I'm thinking the phone isn't seeing the partition? It did up until I rebooted. Link2sd shows no linked apps. Storage info says - "SD card second partition not mounted". Ideas?

Linda Key: Michael please help. I have not done anything to my phone since the last time we chatted. I still needed to re partition my SD card because it was running out of room for apps, but everything I had was working great. However when I got up this morning I noticed that a bunch of my apps have been deleted. I had a folder for games. The folder was gone and only 1 game icon was in the spot where the folder was. Super user is gone as well. My husband swears he didn't touch my phone. Have you ever heard of this? My phone is telling me it doesn't have room to download even my banking app. Do you think I should go back to factory settings and start over? It was rooted successfully. The settings are still the same. Seriously advise.. What would Michael do??? :-(

Takahishi6: I dont know where your audio went, but just watching your video in silence and in blurr isn't helping Dx im soo lost. I have already dowloaded the saferoot, unzipped and what not.. im just lost

Adrian Uchiha: my aparted doesnt work like yours does what do i do?

Aaron Levy: my phone turned off and never came back on dam I just bought it what now

Terree Frazier: Are there any videos to actually just moving the apps to the sd besides this one after your finished with the root?

Steve Lister: Awesome, thanks. Dig the funny cat. ;-)

Zachery Johnson: So dont use link2sd and wait for your next tutorial?

Scott Curtis: Your videos on rooting the optimus f3 and setting up link2sd were so incredibly helpful. Was wondering if you have suggestions on other things to do now that I've got the rooted phone. I know nothing.... any advice is appreciated.

logan mercado: it says my superuser needs an update what do i need to do sorry if im blowing up ur notifications im having minor difficulties with my computer

Melody Enriquez: I got as far as to set the partition, but it says I need to disable the sd card before partitioning.

Allen Mari: rooting is failure in my Lg optimus F3, why? and the app "aparted, don't see the sd card........
