Michael Morana: +kyle burbano uninstall then reinstall aParted. Or, to play it safe, use my
video on partitioning from your computer instead of using aParted.
Michael Morana: +Phillip Mapes im assuming you had done the v6 update and using the
motochopper method messed you up. Have you tried hard reset?
Michael Morana: +Keaton McDermott nope. You have extra space to put music on. However,
you've gotta put it there manually or tell whichever app your downloading
music from to put it there.
Michael Morana: @blaziankhmer You can still root using saferoot and some people have
managed to make this method work WITH the update (by chance/luck)
junior fernandez: Main reason why I returned this phone because u can't move apps to sd card
kyle burbano: When i get to the aparted part it doesnt ask to select the superuser step
and just skips forward any answers would help thank you
Tyler .S: I have the exact phone you do (LG optimus f3: Virgin mobile) and managed to
complete all of the steps, but my problem now is that even though I have a
32gb micro SD card to move all of my apps to, It seems like about 2mb of
each file I move gets left onto the phone storage and because My phone only
has a total of 2gb, there's very minimal free, about 200 mb. Because of
this, after I've downloaded and moved a couple apps, my phone tells me I
don't have enough free room. Is there any way to get those remaining mb
onto the SD card? or somehow switch my sd card to my internal storage?
Ryan Freman: Has the mod/video link been release? To be able to pass 1gb transfer from
rom to SD instead to play games. Since the internal memory can't download
huge files pass 1gb. Would be nice to play modern combat 4 if possible with
Zachary Hatcher: Thank you so much!
p0kerp1aya: So using Link2SD, the partition that you are sending your apps to is
hidden. As that partition fills up with all the apps, is there a way to
see how much space you have left on that partition?
Stephen Gosciejew: when i go to delete my original sd card partition it says that
dev/block/mmcblk1p1 is being used and it says that I have to unmount it,
what do i do?
KidRepti: it says mount script cannot be created for me
Luis Vasquez: thank you make more videos for f3. Can you do a video of how to roam f3
Alessandro Febretti: Super helpful, thanks!
Collin Miller: Awesome and very helpful vid! Thank you! It all worked great for me.
jacob zamora: When I went to Aparted and link2sd the superuser request didn't pop up
please reply I'm so irritated with limited space
miniclip843: Is it safe to root because I barely got my phone and I don't want to mess
it up. Anyway, great video. Please reply as soon as possible
Jason Martinez: Also, do I have to transfer an app to my sd card each time I download it or
will it automatically be downloaded to my sd card? If not, is there a way
to set it to automatically download apps to my sd card?
blaziankhmer: Well thanks for your time, I watched all your other videos on the F3 and I
did do the update so I'm basically freaked! Anyways, you have a new sub on
both your channels.
Sarah Martin: I got it to work fine up until I got to the opening of the link2sd after
partitioning, you clicked okay, then it proceeded to do more, i clicked
okay and it did nothing and that little pop up menu went away. Now Iam
totally confused and lost. HELP!
Juan Burgueno: Can u still root the optimus on the new update using this method ?
Charles McCollum: Crap. Now "What does the Fox say" will be stuck in my head.
moonshinegrrl: Thank you for making these videos! My son and I are waiting for our Virgin
mobile F3s to be delivered, I think with your videos and his help we can
make them awesome
mistermister98: I followed your tutorial and I only have one problem. You see, I have a 32
GB Micro SD Card in the slot, which I am able to transfer those apps to. I
bought Grand Theft Auto: Vice City from the Amazon AppStore, and it is 1.4
GB. When I try to download the app, the size of the app is to big to fit on
the internal memory (which is only 1.2 GB), which means there is no way of
transferring it to the SD Card that has plenty of room. Any ideas?? (I'm
using the same exact phone as you)
Anne Coleman: Why is there a slot for sd cards if these companies aren't making a way for
you to USE them? Argh! I just went from an Optimus V to the F3 and on the V
I was able to just click and send whatever I wanted to the sd card. What's
the point of the slot if you can't actually USE it? Talk about
non-user-friendly. One of the teens already has her phone space maxed out
4G64SicKShoT: yo where'd u get your phone case
forest Gump: Hey awesome video, I followed every step, and I made it to the end
successfully. The only thing is that when I move my apps to the sd card, it
doesnt free up my internal space, it just keeps adding to it. Can you help?
kaiotes: I previously tried rooting via motochopper method. the superuser icon got
installed. but when i tried using rootchecker to see if it was sucessfully
rooted it said it didn't. i tried redoing the motochopper method again i
got an error of failure. installed failed already exists. rooting phone...
this may take a few minutes, failure. failure.exploit complete. i wanted to
use the link2sd app it couldn't obtain root access. if you have root access
make sure you respond allow or grant to superuser request. can you help me
DiscoverTruth1776: I literally spent hours trying to figure out how to be able to move apps to
my sd card on my LG Optimus F3. I had downloaded motochopper and the device
drivers. After failing numerous times, it finally successfully rooted. But
the move to sd card button wasnt there like I saw on another youtube video.
I saw your comment on that video and found this video on your channel. Your
instructions were very easy to follow and everything was successful. Thank
you so much for making this video.
Keaton McDermott: when i download music will it automaticly go to the sd card now?
Michael Terbio: Thanks for the tips. I have the Virgin Mobile LG-LS720 with the LS720V6
android version. I used the Motochopper method to root my android (after
failing with the saferoot, as it says its for the samsung galaxy s4??) but
at any rate I'm rooted now...
Also,If you're unable to use A Parted, after rooting, uninstall then
re-install the app. Worked for me. Thanks again :))
Miss Debbie: Thanks!
Kurt Bennett: Since I partitioned my new 32gig microsd, is it now ruined for use? Is
there any way to change the sd card back and try again?
Kevin Harrison: Now I have an app that actually mounts apps from your files to the sdcard.
It's called "folder mounts". It works a lot better than link2sd. It moves
all the data including the obb! :-)
Colette Nicholas: Hey Michael, we spoke a few weeks ago. Still fighting with the phone. Had
a friend partition my SD card on a PC like you suggested. Even though I
originally had the LG drivers installed, used motochopper, & everything
worked & the phone rooted successfully (root checkers verified & Superuser
access was granted to Aparted & LInk2SD), it is currently not rooted. When
I try, it gets to a certain point in the process where it says failure.
Superuser is installing on my phone, but it is not granting access to
Aparted or Link2SD, I never get the permissions screen about always
allowing Superuser access & rootcheckers say that I'm currently not rooted.
:( Help if you can, please. I really don't want to reset my phone to the
factory settings I don't understand.
jackercrackbox: Apps dont move man. They just link to the location. I moved kik and candy
crush to external sd card. Then checked my storage after each move and it
still says the same amount is on my internal storage. Did you check this or
am I doing something wrong?
asleepwmonsters: the f3 installed the root but the superuser isnt working.. what?
Somtoo Akaigwe: Other than link2sd what else can you do with the rooted phone
derezzFTW: keep getting failure in create link.
i followed steps i have partitioned sd card but and in lik2sd the apps show
clickable boxes that say link app to file, link dalvik-cache file, and link
Will Leger: the command popup is saying that it doesn't recognize the phone
MJ androidhawaii: Completed everything by the letter but when I update the phone in Google
play it says insufficient storage.
Tonino Nambo: Hey after several hours and fustration, I was able to the process of moving
my apps 2 sd. But weird thing, I dowloaded Busy box and then i did
everything again step by step and Mission accomplish. I was begining to
think that buying this sd card was worthless for this. Again thank you. You
sir are a genious!!
Btw can you keep me informed about the cynogenmod update for this phone.
Avram Cuevas: YOU SIR ARE A BOSS THANK YOU!!!
A Marie: I can't get past the aparted part. I've footed my phone. I downloaded all
the necessary software & apps yet I can't use the aparted app. I can't move
the icon to increase/choose how many mb I want my storage broken up into.
It doesn't even seem to recognize the fact that I have superuser too! Help!
Joe Mclaren: Its not showing how much mbs, it says 0 and the parts also say 0
james: wow well made video
Sean Mahoney: Got this to work using saferoot, but when I linked the apps to the new
partition, they disappeared completely. Any ideas? Or ideas about the new
cyanogenmod thing? (I'm a noob at this)
Brianna Walsh: If I wanted to unroot my phone, what would I have to do?
XxCr7IscoxX: aparted wont get my data on the new partition table what can i do?
axlevace: Thanks the first thing worked
